Happy St. Patrick's Day!-Yesterday!

FEATURED ON A BLOG !!!

Yesterday I came home from a long, long very long day at the opthalmology office where I work, logged in to my Etsy shop to find that I had a message from another seller that I had been featured on her blog. I was so excited you would have thought I won the lottery and would never have to return to that horrible place that holds me hostage nine hours a day. Ok, ok, I know what most of you are thinking and I do agree, that I should be grateful to even have a job, but still...What a nice surprise that was and I wasn't even wearing green! But here's the kicker...and this is what makes me totally believe in what goes around, comes around...Yesterday morning before going to work I was looking around on Etsy , just at random things and I stumbled upon someone who makes awesome handbags in awesome fabrics ( I plan on putting up a link or featuring her in a blog to follow soon ). So I sent this artist an email letting her know how much I loved her work and would absolutely be purchasing from her in the future, (which is my plan for my birthday in May) and lo and behold I get the blog thing happen to me.....Now that's karma right? We're Into March Already.......Ayyyyyy!!!!!

Here is the finished wedding necklace and earrings! I finished about one week ago but haven't got back here to post the pictures. The wedding is in about a month. It's the same weekend as the Azalea Festival here. It's going to be at the beach, I'm praying for nice weather. Beach weddings are so tricky.

I'm now trying to decide if I want to do any craft shows, there is a two day one at the beginning of April, but I feel i need the time just to make some new items for my Etsy shop. I've got to figure it out soon. Now that the holidays are behind us, time is picking up speed!

What I'm Working on...

Well here we are at the end of the month and i just wanted to show everyone what I've been working on. My girlfriend at work, her daughter is having a beach wedding and she asked me to make her necklace. WOW! very exciting! and an honor! Both of them came to my house so we could work some ideas and pick out a shell for the necklace. This is what we got thus far and I have to get some more 5-51/2mm freshwater pearls and of course they have to be decent looking ones. That's the thing with freshwater pearls, some of the can look downright awful and my source where I usually purchase them is out of stock, aargh. Hopefully the last place that I have here locally to look for them in will have some, I hope, I hope!

Just A Relaxin' Valentine's Day XOXOX

-------Happy Valentine's Day------Finally home from running around with the hubby. It's been a busy weekend. Yesterady woke up to SNOW! Yes, you heard me and I am in coastal N. Carolina. I used to live in PA where it was the norm in the winter and we were always digging out. But this was only the second time in three years where it covered my yard. of course it was gone pronto which was good, because i did have friends coming over to talk about wedding jewelry.

After they left I finished a pair of earrings and a bracelet, took pics of them and posted them on my Etsy site, which has been open for business two weeks today. I've had an account with them since '09, but hadn't started listing my jewelry til 1/31/10. Here's the two latest pieces I listed..

All in all, a good weekend, still have some champagne a chillin' in the fridge, my work is done here :)

Made My Goal Date

Well, I did it! I made my personal goal of setting up my Etsy shop by Jan. 31, 2010! I only have thirteen things listed today, but it did take a while writing all the descriptions and measuring everything. but i will continue to add more and more. Yea!! I am so excited!!!

Thinking of Spring

So I feel I had a productive weekend. I put some finishing touches on my blogspot, I put together a slideshow @ flickr and I worked on some new pieces, this being one of them. I made a couple of other necklaces and 3 pairs of earrings, all with new beads I just recently purchased.

Up Early Again
